Indigenous Cuisine

The unceded lands we live, grow and thrive on has been home to a number of Indigenous peoples long before we called this area Metro Vancouver. The Hwlitsum, Katzie, Kwantlen, Kwikwetlem, Matsqui, Musqueam, Qayqayt, Semiahmoo, Squamish, Tsawwassen, and Tsleil-Waututh peoples all have traditional foods to share, both with ingredients that have been growing here for centuries, and with new innovations and creativity.
