While WFH (working from home) is still the norm in 2022, having a break from working remotely in the makeshift office in your apartment is a great way to get both a change of scenery and some good eats if you pick a local cafe with wifi.

Wild Trails Coffee
Mother-daughter-owned, Wild Trails is a 100% plant-based cafe that Hungarian native Katalin Zambo opened with the mission to encourage healthy living through wholesome nutrition.
Serving up delectable hot drinks such as hazelnut and cinnamon lattes, with the option of coconut whipped cream and yummy bites like banana walnut muffins and vegan “ham”, “turkey” garlic and pesto, you’ll feel awake and ready for the day of work ahead!

Shipyard’s Coffee
Located in the Lonsdale Quay Market, Shipyard’s Coffee is convenient, and a local favourite.
Try one of their delicious savoury croissants, either the blueberry goats cheese with pesto and tomatoes or the boujee wild sockeye salmon. They have smoothies if you don’t want a caffeine rush and the pastries are also worth a taste; the bumbleberry pie and chocolate orange scone are pretty drool-worthy.

Echo Cafe
A brunch and sandwich menu that has funky names of North Shore locations, Echo Cafe is also creative with the food.
The “Deep Cove Sunshine Bowl” consisting of sunnyside eggs over a baked potato drenched in a creamy tomato sauce and side salad is a sure-fire hit! And if you’re still peckish, grab a piece of toast for dipping. They provide vegan options and a long list of different paninis too.

High Boat Cafe Marina
As the name suggests, this kitschy spot is right by the marina and the views are gorgeous, especially on a cold, sunny day! Tucked away from the hustle and bustle, the breakfast/ brunch cafe claims its sailor origins well with a menu reflecting this.
The “High Boat Benny” is an obvious choice- English muffin and black forest ham with homemade hollandaise and pan-fried potatoes, but there’s also the special omelette for those a bit more daring! There’s a lunch menu too, with hot options and cold sandwiches available.
