Get Ready for Grillin' with the Canadian Festival of Chili and BBQ - West Coast Food

This Family-Friendly Festival of Food is in Langley City, May 13th-15th, 2022

You know it’s summer when the tempting scent of the grill starts wafting through the neighbourhood, and we are ready for it! Set your tastebud bar high, because this is not just any festival, it’s a full-on chili and BBQ cook-off.

For a $5 minimum entrance donation, you’ll directly support the BC Professional Fire Fighters Association Burn Fund, as well as get delicious and spicy samples across the weekend.

On Saturday, May 14th, guests will get a complimentary taste of Firehouse Chili, while those visiting on Sunday, May 15th, will get a Pumper Pulled Pork bunwich. You’ll also get a firefighters wristband, which will give you access to sampling the wares of various competitors.  

With local live music, a beer garden, and lots of great food, bring the whole family to this charity event, with all proceeds going to the BC Burn Fund.

You will be greeted on site with Langley City Professional Fire Fighters L3253 and their families. For a $5 minimum entrance donation to the BC Professional Fire Fighters Association Burn Fund, you will receive a sample of Firehouse Chili and a bun on Saturday, May 14th, or a Pumper Pulled Pork bunwich on Sunday, May 15th. You’ll also get a fire fighters wristband, which will get you competition samples when they are available. Comfort food never felt so good.On Saturday, May 14th, watch as chefs compete in the Canadian International CASI Chili Championships and on Sunday, May 15th, competitors will be cooking up their best cue in the BC BBQ Championships! Each of the over 10 competition categories will crown a champion – but really everyone’s a winner at the Canadian Festival of Chili and Barbecue.

Live music on Saturday provided by the Antonio Larosa Band and Emmett Jerome, and on Sunday, The Unbranded, who are a country band based out of Chilliwack. Music will be on from 12 to 5pm.

The Beer Garden will have 3 taps. The beer to support firefighter charities is a Backdraft Red Ale. $1 of every pint, growler fill or 4 pack purchased goes to the Fire Fighters Burn Fund charity. 11 – 4:30pm.
