Wine touring in B.C. isn’t just reserved for the Okanagan. If you’re a wine lover, consider sipping your way through Langley! Located just one hour outside of Vancouver, Langley is booming with lush wineries and tours aplenty. Book a tour and tasting at one of the wineries listed below, or try a bunch of them one go with a tour.

Backyard Wines

Vancouver’s backyard has a blossoming wine industry and Backyard Wines offers tours of their full-production winery. Guests will learn about what goes on in their vineyard, visit the barrel room, and gain some valuable wine knowledge. Of course, the tour is followed by a wine tasting in the Backyard Wine Tasting Room. Reservations are required, so book your tour in advance!

Chaberton Estate Winery

The folks at Chaberton Estate Winery are veterans in the wine biz, making this place one of Langley’s most beloved haunts. They offer daily tastings in their boutique tasting room, winery tours and an acclaimed fine-dining experience with serving french cuisine When visiting the tasting room “enjoy tasting varietal wines from [their] full selection of 100% BC VQA red and white wines made from grapes grown locally in our Fraser Valley vineyard and specially selected vineyards from the South Okanagan and Similkameen Valleys.”

Township 7

Check this one out in Langley, or the next time you’re in Penticton. The Fraser Valley Township 7 winery is set “in a lush agricultural landscape, surrounded by green vistas and the occasional trot by of an equine explorer.” Grape growing? Yes. Explore your inner wine geek within Metro Vancouver and get to know this gem that has bubbly ambitions.

Township 7’s winery has everything for everyone: including food, art, and of course, lots of information about wine culture, history, and production.

Krause Berry Farms & Estate Winery
6179 248 St, Langley, BC

This family-owned and operated spot, is a local favourite great for families with little ones in tow! Make a day of it, and stop into Krause Berry Farms for U-Pick Berry Fields, a market, bakery, the acclaimed Estate Winery, restaurants and The Farmer’s Table Cooking School. If you’re a group, wine tasting visits at the Estate can be booked by contacting Krause directly.

Festina Lente Winery
21113 16 Ave, Langley, BC

If you’ve never tried honey wine (mead) see what the buzz is about. This family-run spot uses honey from hives on-site and home-grown herbs to infuse a variety of flavours.  Their tasting room is open daily.
