Sporty and Scrumptious: Vancouver's New Mini Golf Pub - West Coast Food

There’s a new golf experience that’s been unleashed in the heart of Vancouver- and it’s “definitely not your Grandpa’s golf club” as the team behind it is candidly stating.

Partee-Putt is an explosion of nostalgic fun, based around “themed holes” that are a nod to the city’s favourite hotspots such as Lions Gate Bridge and cult classic movies, including “Jaws”. A kitschy venue that also houses arcade games, pool tables and weekend DJ nights, it’s an entertainment extravaganza.

And, lest we forget- the food! Happy hours and a menu that speaks to good ‘ole grub that hits the spot. This, along with tantalizing cocktails with not only creative flavours but also names (Jenny’s Apple Bottom, anyone?!). We had a chat with MRG’s Sales & Development Manager, Adam Vickers to give us the hole lowdown!

What can putters expect from this mini-golf, foodie haven, that’s just opened?

Guests of PAR-TEE Putt can expect fun, first and foremost. We’ve created an indoor mini golf experience where patrons can eat, drink, putt and have a great time. We’ve designed the menu with a focus on pub fare along with some classics you’d find in the clubhouse.

To fit with the theme, there’s golf-inspired cocktails and comforting pub grub – any favourites that you recommend?

Absolutely. I’m a sucker for an Arnold Palmer so the John Daly hits the spot. It’s lemonade and iced tea that’s been spiked with vodka. For food, I would have to say the Jalapeño Popcorn Shrimp. Being from the west coast, I always opt for seafood when given the option and with the flavour and slight heat from the jalapeños, it makes a very satisfying addition to our menu.

Anything you’d like to add that we should know?

Probably just how excited The MRG Group is to bring this concept to Vancouver! Although Toronto-based, Vancouver is where MRG has its roots, what with the Vogue Theatre. And we couldn’t be happier to finally share the PAR-TEE Putt experience with our “hometown”.

And also, we have a special contest that ends on Friday 30 September; enter to win “The Ultimate Partee-Putt Experience Plus a $2500 Travel Voucher” here.
