Steveston Salmon Festival | Richmond

Khatsahlano Street Party | Vancouver

Welcome to Vancouver’s largest free music and arts festival! The annual street party is back with more reasons to cut loose, mingle, and indulge. Spanning 10 blocks along 4th Ave. from Burrard to MacDonald Street, this is a wonderful way to get acquainted with the character and culture of the city. That means, watching the crowd get down to bhangra music while digging into Korean fried chicken, then marvelling at a Brazilian capoeira demonstration while trying to clap with a handful of Colombian empanadas. BC Halal Food Fest | Surrey

Canada’s largest halal food festival, this is another delicious cultural gathering where you could easily wile away the day, strolling and snacking. In addition to live performances and a market of local makers, this fest has added carnival rides for that extra boost of summer feeling. Ride a little, snack a little, ride again, sit down for 10 minutes, then snack once more. It’s really a rite of passage routine this time of year!
