Ryo Imai, a culinary artist from Kyotango City, Kyoto Prefecture, specializes in both Chinese and home-style cooking. After honing his skills at a long-established Chinese restaurant in Kyoto, he moved to Tokyo. Deepening his expertise as a food coordinator, he embarked on an independent career, driven by the motto, “Delicious and Fun for Everyone,” creating easy-to-follow, delightful recipes.
Chef Imai’s influence spans a wide range of media. He contributes recipes to cookbooks and magazines, makes television appearances, and even supervises culinary aspects for films, earning high acclaim across various fields. His latest book, “Cha-Gyo: Fried Rice and Gyoza You’ll Want to Eat Anytime” (Bunka Publishing Bureau), showcases his accessible approach to beloved dishes.
Known for making delicious and simple recipes from everyday ingredients, Chef Imai has garnered immense support from all generations. At this special event, you’ll savor unique creative dishes that beautifully blend Chef Imai’s distinct Japanese and Canadian influences – an exclusive culinary journey you won’t find anywhere else.
