September 2026 Foodie Events in Metro Vancouver - West Coast Food

Summer may be over on paper, BUT, let’s be honest, we’re not truly into fall until the first leaf falls. And we think we’ve got a few solid weeks before that happens! So keep your head down for the time being, and let’s push on with the sunny vibes. That means more BBQs, more outdoor food fests, and more tasty reasons to keep wearing shorts and floral print. Who knows how long it will last, though, so you’d best get to these local activities as soon as you can. Once those leaves start raining down in painfully slow motion, there’s no going back!

Nikkei Matsuri | Burnaby

Sept 4 – 6

More street food, more demos, more dancing- one of Burnaby’s biggest cultural festivals is back with an expanded roster of activities! Listen to the thunderous taiko drumming while you dig into your taiyaki and bubble tea.

TAIWANfest | Vancouver

Sept 5 -7

Celebrating the unique flavours, colours, and stories of Taiwan, this vibrant fest will give you a new appreciation for how robust the culinary traditions of one of our biggest cultural communities are. This year’s theme explores the connection between the island nation and another one, Scotland! So you can expect traditional cooking and tea workshops right alongside highland dancing performances.

Richmond Night Market | Richmond

Running through Sept 20

After 26 years, the Richmond Night Market is coming to a close! While we’re sad to see one of our biggest summer community events leave, there’s still time to send it off with incredible food, great music, and all manner of unexpected gift vendors. The City of Richmond says the market might be back in some form though, so consider it more of a “see you later” than a goodbye.
