This free two-day food festival brings the energy of Lagos to Surrey with a beer garden, live DJ entertainment, cultural showcases, and, of course, authentic Nigerian cuisine.
Hosted right outside VanSuya Restaurant & Lounge, one of Metro Vancouver’s largest Nigerian restaurants, the festival invites guests from all backgrounds to experience Nigeria through bold flavours, music, and community. Enjoy fan-favourites like smoky Jollof Rice, Suya off the grill, Puff-Puffs, and refreshing Zobo to start.
And when the sun goes down, that’s when the block party starts. In 2025, DJ Neptune, one of Nigeria’s most celebrated DJs and producers, headlined Sunday night, delivering the full Afrobeats experience with sounds inspired by artists like Burna Boy, Rema, and Wizkid. Blending Afrobeats with hip-hop, R&B, house, and dancehall, he kept the crowd moving all night. In 2026, expect even more high-energy West African DJs bringing the same unforgettable vibes to Surrey.
