From South to North: Local Mexican Spots For a Spicy Detour - West Coast Food

With summer on the way, Cinco de Mayo just around the corner, and the sun shining brighter every day, it’s an excellent time to get into the spirit of our Latin neighbours, two doors down. Over the past few years, you might have noticed an increased Mexican influence throughout Vancouver, from bodega grocery stores popping up throughout our neighbourhoods, to craft breweries adding spiced flavours to their tap lists (and sometimes even a horchata ale). But nothing else gets the point across like the local Mexican restaurants that keep us craving hot dishes, cold drinks and warm service. An order of enchiladas, paired with a mescal margarita, followed by tres leches cake for dessert? You don’t need to be fluent in Spanish to know the three most important words in this scenario: “Si, por favor.”

Ready (Listo)?

Let’s go (Vamos)!
