Vancouver Hot Chocolate Festival, January 13 – Feb 14

It’s still chilly out there, so why not treat yourself to a cup of hot cocoa? 

Last year, close to three dozen cafes, bakeries and chocolatiers throughout Metro Vancouver participated in the Hot Chocolate Festival, offering extra special gourmet cups of hot chocolate on their menus featuring ingredients like white chocolate, Belgian chocolate, and cookie crumbs. Watch out for the official list of participating businesses.

Dine Out Vancouver, January 17 – Feb 4

While the holidays are over, the biggest festival of the year for foodies in Vancouver is about to begin! Watch out for Dine Out this month, with hundreds of chefs, more than 300 restaurants, wineries, craft breweries, suppliers showcasing their best plates of food at a steal. Dine Out is a month of dining, food-forward virtual events and experiences for culinary enthusiasts. Mark your calendar to start making reservations, restaurant menus go live January 9, 2024.

East Van Dumpling Fest Crawl, January 17

Taste variations on the much-loved dumpling from a variety of cultures and East Van eateries, from Chinese dumplings, to Italian gnocchi, Nepalese momos to Mexican tamales, Japanese gyoza and more. Cabane à Sucre, January 17 – 27

Michelin-starred restaurant St. Lawrence’s classic Québécois dinner experience is back! The much-awaited Cabane à Sucre menu is inspired by the rustic, homespun habitant meals served at “Sugar Shacks” (Cabanes à Sucre), where sap is boiled and turned into the nation’s prized syrup.

Guests can expect the classic long-table communal Cabane seating and a seven-course family-style menu featuring Québécois favourites and carefully crafted beverage pairings. Check event for ticket and reservation details.

Street Food City 12, January 20 – 28

Vancouver’s original street food festival is back, celebrating its 12th year outside the Vancouver Art Gallery. Street Food City is giving you a delicious opportunity to sample from a collection of Vancouver’s Street Food carts all in one convenient location.
