Lonsdale Farmers Market, May 6

Stroll the boardwalk on North Vancouver’s Lonsdale Quay while you check out fresh locally grown produce, delicious baked goods and nifty crafts created by local growers, bakers and crafters every Saturday from 9am to 2pm, running from May 6th until October.

Tian Jin Taiwanese Street Food Festival, May 6-7

Taste Taiwanese treats at the Taiwanese Food Fair at Tian Jin Festival, a free community cultural event showcasing the multiculturalism and diverse backgrounds of Metro Vancouver through food, outdoor performances and free carnival style games for family and children to enjoy.

New West Farmers Market, May 11

Find fresh produce, plant based food, food trucks, artisans, prepared foods, alcohol, live music, and family friendly activities at the New West Farmers Market, kicking off in May, the farmers market is running every Thursday from 3-7pm in Tipperary Park, next to New West City Hall. Don’t forget your canine best friend–dogs are welcome!

BC Distilled, May 13

Get in the spirit–BC’s premier artisan distillery festival is back this year showcasing local spirits. BC Distilled is the largest spirits event in Canada exclusively for local distilleries. The main event takes place at the Croatian Cultural Centre, check website for ticket information on events.

Coquitlam Block Party Food Truck Festival, May 13-14

Brewhalla For Langley Beer & Music Festival, May 20

Situated by the forest, the Burnaby Farmers Market offers locally grown conventional and organic produce, prepared foods and entertainment every Saturday starting May 20th, from May to October. Paved parking is also steps away from Deer Lake.

Planted Expo, May 27-28

Spot Prawn Festival, May 28

The Chefs’ Table Society of British Columbia is once again hosting the iconic Annual Spot Prawn Festival on Fisherman’s Wharf on May 28. The festival is family-friendly and includes free cooking demos with some of Vancouver’s top chefs, access to the docks, and live music. You can also sample spot prawns in a Spot Prawn Bisque ($10) or buy tickets for the Spot Prawn Brunch (a tasting menu of 6 delicious spot prawn dishes (19 yrs+ only)
