9 Places for Festive Eats at VanDusen Festival of Lights - West Coast Food

Sipping on a hot cocoa as you wander through a magical winter landscape decorated with over a million twinkling lights is the ultimate holiday season experience, and luckily if you’re visiting the annual VanDusen Botanical Garden Festival of Lights there’s not only hot chocolate but lots of delicious snacks, drinks, and festive foodie treats to enjoy.

Cocoa Chateau

Grab a gourmet hot chocolate or apple cider to keep you warm on your walk. Bags of popcorn are also available.

Fireside Fondue

Gather at the fireside to ward off the cold and enjoy a cheesy or chocolatey winter specialty! Serving gourmet fondue with a selection of sides, apple cider, and their signature Lotus Biscoff Hot Chocolate.

Cin City Donuts

Mini donuts are a festival-favourite (no matter what season!) Also serving hot drinks.

LaGlace Ice Cream

Head inside the Glacial Passage for a cold treat! LaGlace serves artisanal ice cream in an assortment of holiday flavours, as well as hot chocolate.

Mr. Arancino

Balls of risotto with a gooey cheese interior, Mr. Arancino’s take on the traditional Sicilian treat comes in a variety of flavours. Arancini are gluten-free, with meat, vegetarian, and vegan options available. 

NaMì

Tasty grab and go Vietnamese vermicelli bowls, spring rolls, and bánh mì. Drinks include Vietnamese coffee and Vietnamese hot chocolate.

Ay!Mamacita

Chow down on tacos, rice bowls or a chorizo queso torta and wash it down with a specialty spicy hot chocolate or Mexican Eggnog Atole at Ay!Mamacita. 

Japadog

Japanese-inspired hot dogs with menu items like kurobuta terimayo, wagyu beef, or oroshi, and cheese, and more! The truck will also be serving tomato and basil soup, corn potage soup, and beverages. Vegetarian options available.

Shaughnessy Wine Patio and Restaurant

For a sit-down experience after exploring the grounds, head over to the Shaughnessy Wine Patio for a seasonal beverage like mulled wine or Baileys hot chocolate and a variety of hot food including chowder, pretzels, and more.

The VanDusen Botanical Garden Festival of Lights is on display until January 7, 2024. Open every day 4 PM – 10 PM. Closed December 25th, 2023.
