Coquitlam is home to a host of culinary gems, as well as Metro Vancouver’s largest free outdoor winter lights display. Starting November 28th, 2025 over 100,000 holiday lights and festive displays decorate Coquitlam’s Lafarge Lake as part of Lights at Lafarge.
Running until February 2026, Lights at Lafarge is over a kilometre walk of bright lights, including illuminated archways and familiar Christmas characters. The walk is a perfect opportunity to work up an appetite and explore the area with family and friends as you get in the holiday spirit!

Singapore Hawker
Singapore Hawker serves up flavour-packed hawker-style dishes like Mee Goreng (spicy Malaysian-style fried egg noodles with meat and vegetables), Pineapple Fried Rice and a variety of curries. Fill up with friends and family!

The Praguery
One of the most popular food trucks in the Lower Mainland gets its first stand alone store just steps from Lafarge Lake. Its specialty is Czech trdelník, a chimney cake made from hand-crafted and rolled sweet dough, filled with ice cream and as much indulgence as you can top it with. Pair with freshly brewed coffee to warm your fingers.

All that festive cheer is bound to work up an appetite, so swing by the Dos Amigos truck for some Tex Mex by way of the West Coast. Tacos, nachos, burritos and baja fries will set you right up for another lap around the lights.
