Must-Visit Eats Around Lights at Lafarge - West Coast Food

Coquitlam is home to a host of culinary gems, as well as Metro Vancouver’s largest free outdoor winter lights display. Starting November 24th, 2023 over 100,000 holiday lights and festive displays decorate Coquitlam’s Lafarge Lake as part of Lights at Lafarge, dazzling and bright against the dark winter skies. 

Running until February 2024, Lights at Lafarge is over a kilometre walk of bright lights, including illuminated archways and familiar Christmas characters. The walk is a perfect opportunity to work up an appetite and explore the area with family and friends as you get in the holiday spirit!

Singapore Hawker 

Singapore Hawker serves up flavour-packed hawker-style dishes like Mee Goreng (spicy Malaysian-style fried egg noodles with meat and vegetables), Pineapple Fried Rice and a variety of curries. Fill up with friends and family!

Brisk Cafe

With a menu full of warming hot drinks, desserts and cozy comfort foods, Brisk Cafe is a great option for before or after visiting the festival. Specialties on the dessert menu include Turkish baklava, saffron ice cream, and Faloodeh Shirazi (frozen sweet noodle and rose water.)

A great choice for groups, you can dig in at Neptune Noodle Bar around a big table. Share banquet style Chinese specialties, like hot pot, dim sum and (of course) a large variety of noodle dishes.

Betty’s Greek Honey Ballz

Loukoumades are small dough balls deep fried and coated in a cinnamon honey syrup with a choice of toppings, like walnuts, chocolate, caramel, cinnamon /sugar, cinnamon, sesame seeds, strawberry drizzle and Nutella. Vegan and vegetarian.

Opening night of Lights at Lafarge runs from 5 – 8 PM at Lafarge Lake at Town Centre Park, 1299 Pinetree Way
