Sea Fest, as its known by locals, takes place on the BC Day long weekend. Farmhouse Fest, August 12 and 13
Farmhouse Fest at UBC returns, showcasing local wine, cider and beer over 2 days. August 12 features over 50 breweries and cider makers pouring more than 150 varieties of funky wonders from all over BC. August 13th is for the wine connoisseurs, with the spotlight on artisanal producers, including organic and biodynamic farming. Each day ticketed separately.

Fraser Valley Cider Co. Summer Social, August 19 – 20
Check out the chillest beer festival in the valley, presented by the Langley Loop Breweries, kicking off a month of The Fraser Valley Cider Company. Limited space available with capacity capped at 150 attendees, visitors can skip the lineups, leaving more time to play games, get down to live music and enjoy tasty food courtesy of The Barley Merchant.

Ko Pe Que Vol. 4, August 19
Sun, beats and BBQ are the perfect way to celebrate summer, so head down to Burnaby Fraser Foreshore Park for the 4th Ko Po Que, organized by the Black Diaspora Social Club of BC. Afrobeats and all you can eat for a minimum contribution of $25. 12PM – 8PM.

Richmond Garlic Festival, August 20
Vampires beware, it’s the annual Garlic Festival at Sharing Farm! This sunny family-friendly festival includes live birds-of-prey flying demonstrations, a children’s area, a farmer’s market, and food trucks serving up garlic goodies. Suggested minimum donation of $5 per person. 11AM – 3PM.

Australian Cultural Festival, August 26
Crikey, it’s the first Australian Cultural Festival! Get down with the culture down under with a day of beverages, activities, and entertainment in Langley at the beautiful grounds of Festina Lente. Runs 11AM – 5PM. Free (but you can reserve a spot online.)
