While autumn marks the end of the u-pick berry season, it doesn’t mean local harvesting is over. From pumpkin patches to cranberries to organic greens, here are a selection of working farms in Metro Vancouver and beyond that have markets where you can purchase seasonal produce this fall.
Riverside Cranberry Farm
Riverside Cranberry Farm boasts a picturesque harvest season perfect for scooping up fresh cranberries and taking selfies. On your visit, you can snap photos around Riverside’s cranberry bog, learn about cranberry farming, and bring home some freshly harvested cranberries and other goodies from the new onsite Farm Store. If getting it all for the ‘gram is your motivation, we suggest adding the “Cranberry Plunge,” where you can plunge into the bog of berries to do some harvesting yourself. Don’t worry–the farm provides the waders so you don’t actually get wet.
Open Sept 30–Oct 7, Thurs–Sat
26885 88 Ave, Langley, BC
Aldor Acres
For fall, this family-run farm’s claim to fame is its pumpkin patch, but that’s not all you’ll find on this 80-acre spot. At its farm market, you can purchase fresh produce, preserves, honey, meat, eggs, snacks and more. You can also have outdoor interactions with pigs, ducks, goats, donkeys, chickens, sheep, bunnies, emus, horses and cows on the 5-acre “petting zoo.”
Open until Oct. 31, 9am–6pm daily.
24990 84 Ave, Langley, BC
Eagle Acres
Celebrate the gourd-geous new season with the family here. The Eagle Acres pumpkin patch boasts 25 different varieties of pumpkins and gourds, plus hayrides, and over 200 animals from 9 species to visit, including cows, calves, ponies, pigs, goats, sheep, bunnies, kittens, chickens and dogs.
Open Oct. 1–31 (excluding Mondays), 2–5pm weekdays, 10am–5pm weekends.
8796 240 St, Langley, BC
Krause Berry Farms
Find the perfect pumpkin to take home from the market or ‘U-pick’ field, and then pop over to its walk-in waffle bar to enjoy Krause’s delicious waffles (with seasonal toppings). There is outdoor covered and garden seating.
Open Wed–Sun, 9:30am–5pm

Richmond Country Farms
Pop by Richmond Country Farms for their famous pumpkin patch this season, but stay for the market, nursery, restaurant and vineyard on the property. The market at Richmond Country Farms offers local and organic seasonal vegetables: right now, you’ll find corn, squash and pumpkins. Top up your experience with the Wagon Rideout, which takes you to and from the Pumpkin Patch on a tractor-drawn wagon, complete with an entertainer to make sure not a yawn will be seen!

Open 7 Days a week, 9 am – 7 pm
W&A Farms
This family-run farm is known best for its delicious and bountiful strawberry fields, but autumn provides a bounty of vegetables including dill cucumbers, beets, carrots, an assortment of different potatoes and super sweet corn. Right now, gourds, pumpkins and squash reign supreme and brussels sprouts are just around the corner!
