March 14th, or 3.14, or Pi Day, maybe a big day on the calendar for math enthusiasts—but what about the rest of us? We tack on an “e” and celebrate all things pie! Anyway you slice it, it’s a pretty good day to get out and explore these wonderful purveyors of the pastry throughout Metro Vancouver.
Aphrodite’s Organic Pie Shop – Vancouver
3598 West 4th Avenue, Vancouver
Like their namesake, “love” is the main ingredient in all Aphrodite’s does—which includes making some delicious pies. They spread the love through a passion for wild, organic and sustainable food, working directly with local farmers and producers across their entire menu that also does breakfast and lunch.

The Pie Hole – Burnaby

Endorsed by none other than Guy Fieri himself, The Pie Hole has built a reputation for mouthwatering desserts, as well as savoury meal-pies, since its inception in 2011. Their rotating menu changes often—so if you see one you like, sit down right away and enjoy with a coffee or a tea.

Savary Island Pie Company – Vancouver’s North Shore
1533 Marine Dr, West Vancouver
This family-owned West Vancouver institution is conveniently located to their very own Old Fashioned Ice Cream Parlour, because there’s no two better culinary partners than that. Stop by their beautiful, retro-style bakery cafe in Ambleside to see for yourself.

Gabi & Jules – Burnaby
4568 Hastings St, Burnaby
How can you not love a bakery that categorizes itself, unapologetically, as “all-butter?” The hand-pressed and hand-formed crusts of their pies are made with nothing but the good stuff. And each slice you dig into at their cafe in Burnaby Heights was baked fresh that morning, so you know you’re getting the best.

Krause Berry Farms – Langley TWP
6179 248th Street, Langley BC
Their famous fruit pies are made onsite in their Harvest Kitchen all year round. Stop by the working farm for a taste from their onsite bakery, or take a whole frozen pie home from the Home & Garden Market to bake and enjoy at home.

Minoo Cafe Bakery – Coquitlam
2918 Glen Dr #117, Coquitlam
This traditional Iranian bakery has been baking pies with art and old school techniques and a healthy dash of love for 25 years in Coquitlam. Choose from their picture perfect apricot, blueberry and apple pies.

The Sweet Spot – Richmond
12000 First Ave, Richmond
This quaint patisserie in historic Steveston will whisk you away to Europe at first bite. Stop by their charming bakery cafe where everything is baked in-house for a mini pie and a coffee, or select from their frozen savoury pies to take home for dinner.

Fieldstone Bread – Surrey
#2 – 12823 Crescent Rd, Surrey
Three decades of baking experience go into each pie at Fieldstone’s beautifully rustic bakery cafe in South Surrey. Try a peach hand-pie or take home one of their seasonal pies, always made from the finest organic flour, filtered water and sea salt.

El Dorado Pie & Treats – Vancouver’s North Shore
123 Carrie Cates Ct #116, North Vancouver
This family run bakery brings the passion of their Latin roots, and techniques that have been passed down through generations, to not only their delicious baked goods but their warm hospitality at their brand new location in The Lonsdale Quay Market.
