If you’ve already donated to Filipino BC’s United Way’s Kapwa Strong Fund or supported the victims of the tragedy in your own way, but wanted to do something more to support Metro Vancouver’s Filipino community, we thought we would share a list of some of Metro Vancouver’s amazing Filipino restaurants for you to explore as another small way to show support for the community.
Mr. Siopao De Langley | Langley City
Specializing in Filipino-style steamed buns, Mr. Siopao never fails to satisfy with their sweet and savoury treats. Choose from tasty fillings like ube, mung bean pandan and red bean or buy a few and mix and match flavours. Great for when you need to bring snacks to a gathering or potluck.

The Filipino Noodle Joint | Surrey
Famous for its crispy crackling noodles, this community favourite spot brings authentic, delicately delicious Filipino flavours to Surrey. Be sure to visit on May 10, 2025 when the restaurant will be donating a portion of the daily sales towards helping the families directly affected by the tragedy.

Jav’s Kaldero Authentic Filipino Cuisine Ltd | Surrey
An impressively robust menu with reasonable prices, this is a fantastic option for authentic Filipino comfort food. They also do catering, so keep them in mind for your next party.

Bacayon’s Chibugan | Surrey
​​Big portions and bigger flavours, this mom-and-pop spot is known for its delicious Filipino comfort dishes. Sizzling pork sisig, creamy dinakdakan (grilled pork salad), crispy pork kare-kare in peanut sauce— the menu is full of the mouth-watering delicacies that Pacific island cuisine is famous for.

Cabizerra Bistro | Surrey
Run by husband-and-wife business owners, this community fave spot lives by the mantra that food is a “celebration of life’s simple pleasures”. You’ll taste that philosophy with every bite from their lovingly made menu, from beef bistek to peanutty ox-tail kare-kare.

Championing themselves as offering “All things Filipino”, this downtown eatery packs a big kick of flavour. The portions are fairly hearty, so there’s a good chance you’ll have some extra tasty leftovers for the next day, too.
