Soup & Bread: Tour, Passover Cooking Demo & Lunch, April 8
Enjoy a tour of Coquitlam Heritage’s current Breaking Bread exhibit (running until June 30) focusing on the historical and cultural importance of bread followed by learning about the process of making Matzo ball soup and Matzo Kugel during the Jewish festival of Passover in this mini-workshop and lunch with Chef Victoria Paikin. Easter Egg Hunt at Township 7, April 9
Sip on award-winning local wines while the kids enjoy the Easter Egg Hunt, scavenging the vineyard, and enjoy activities such as Glitter Tattoos, a petting zoo by the 4H club, and more. Adults can join them in the afternoon for an Adults’ Easter Egg Hunt with live music and prizes, including a grand prize worth over $500. Cultivate Food Truck will be on-site. The event is rain or shine, and apportion of all ticket sales will be donated to 4-H British Columbia. Feasts of Coquitlam: First Nations Cuisine, April 13
Running for its sixth year of Feasts of Coquitlam with kʷikʷəƛ̓əm (Kwikwetlem) First Nation, Chef Kristina Joe (an artist, chef, cultural facilitator, singer, and dancer born and raised in the area) shares the treasured family recipe for bannock, which she learned from her father who learned from his mother and their recipe is now a cherished family secret. The 2023 Hot Chefs & Cool Jazz Gala, in support of Junior Culinary Team Canada and Community Catering Team Canada, hosted by Fairmont Pacific Rim Executive Chef Damon Campbell. Top culinary talent from the Vancouver and Kelowna areas will be providing exclusive dishes specifically designed for the event. All proceeds from ticket sales for the event will support Junior Culinary Team Canada and Community Catering Team Canada to compete in The 2024 Culinary World Olympics in Stuttgart, Germany!

Vancouver International Wine Festival, April 22 to April 30
In its 44th year, the Vancouver International Wine Festival will once again showcase the world’s greatest wine producers. The festival is one of the biggest and oldest wine events in the world. Taking place at the Vancouver Convention, the theme region is South America and the global spotlight is on sparkling wine.
An added bonus, as you sip on your sparkling wine you’re also supporting local arts! The Vancouver International Wine Festival is a fundraiser for the Bard on the Beach Theatre Society.
