Chorizo taquitos, chicken chilaquiles, fish tacos, and chipotle veggie monster burritos are just some of the options to help you imagine you’re dining by the playa. Just add margaritas.
Hachiro Ramen Bar 140 16th St West
Little is more comforting that a bowl of noodle soup. Look for the restaurant’s feature “shmiso” ramen—a blend of miso and shoyu tare—which comes in tonkotsu (pork) and vegetarian versions. Besides several other varieties of the ramen, there’s also Japanese vegetarian fried rice (with king oyster, shimeji and enoki mushrooms), miso lemon kale salad with edamame and pickled daikon, Hachiro fries with cheese curds and beer curry. On weekends only, splurge on a miso lobster tail with dashi, garlic, chili strands, garlic chips, and pickled daikon.
