Vancouver’s North Shore Craft Beer Week is Back

Attention craft beer lovers, head over to Vancouver’s North Shore in November!

Vancouver’s North Shore Craft Beer Week is back November 4 to 14 with exciting events at a different brewery, every night. Here’s a roundup of four fun ways to explore one of BC’s most eclectic craft beer scenes and celebrate a little while you’re at it.

Launch Party, November 4

Kick the week off right at the Pipe Shop in The Shipyards District, at the gala event of the festival. In one amazing evening by the water, you can get a taste of the North Shore’s finest craft breweries, all the while revelling in live music from local artists Jimi and the Antonio Larosa Trio, plus games and prizes galore. Be sure to pre-purchase your tickets for exclusive early entry and first access to tokens and vendors!

What we’re ordering: A very special 2022 Collaboration Brew unveiled that evening to mark the occasion

Vikings Night at Braggot Brewing, November 5

Break out your best furry vest and horned helmet for Vikings Night at the North Shore’s only braggottery. For those not up to speed on their primeval libations, braggot is an ancient beverage made from grain and honey; like a beer meets mead. There’ll be discounts for anyone in a Viking or Nordic costume, as well as feats of skill that involve throwing blunt objects at a target – very Viking.

What we’re ordering: Brown Ale Braggot

Burger Challenge Night at Black Kettle Brewing, November 9

Come hungry to this one. The burger tournament that’s been running at Black Kettle all of October will culminate in a grand finale during Craft Beer Week.  That night will be the ultimate Burger Challenge, where guests can vote with their gut for a burger champ that will then be the brewery’s official submission to the 9th Annual Vancouver Foodster Burger Challenge.

What we’re ordering: Don’t Feed The Bears White IPA (and a burger)

80s Fancy Dress Party at Deep Cove Brewers and Distillers, November 12

Hey you gremlins and goonies, get yourself all pretty in pink and head back to the future at Deep Cove Brewers and Distiller’s 80s Fancy Dress Party! Dance the night away to tunes from the glory days of pop radio, fill your boots with lunch kits of pizza pockets and fruit roll-ups, just like mom used to pack you, plus some cocktail features – like maybe the kind dad used to pack away? There’ll be prizes for those deemed best dressed, and even a Rubix Cube speed competition. Be there or be square, dude.

What we’re ordering: Breakaway Amber Ale (celebrating Canada’s first World Cup appearance since 1986!)
